Introducing the new Super LoLux HD range
JVC Professional’s new Super LoLux HD line of V.Networks cameras are equipped with our latest CMOS sensors which output full HD resolution, and offer multi-codec support, including M-JPEG, MPEG-4, and H.264.
The Super LoLux HD cameras deliver superior colour reproduction, even in low light conditions down to 0.25 lux, and match the sensitivity of JVC's well established CCD-based cameras. The new megapixel cameras also include Clear Logic Video Intelligence (CLVI) image processing, a new technology which compensates for back-lighting and digitally removes ambient fog, haze, rain or smoke from the field of view.
JVC Professional’s cameras deliver high-resolution images with exceptional colour reproduction, ideal for use as part of a complete IP surveillance installation. Capable of streaming both Motion JPEG and MPEG-4 images simultaneously, for recording and reviewing footage, the cameras operate via PoE (Power over Ethernet) technology for ease of installation and low power consumption with video, audio and power all carried via a single Ethernet cable.
There are entry-level, intermediate and advanced models in the new Super LoLux HD product line, with a box style (minus lens), indoor mini-dome, and outdoor dome camera available at each level. Entry-level models (out early 2012) provide 720p resolution, while intermediate and advanced models (out late 2011) feature full 1080p resolution images. Each new camera is equipped with a 1/3-inch CMOS sensor that can deliver up to 30fps full frame rate, progressive HD images.
With a number of different types of H.264 compression, many security camera manufacturers choose to use H.264 Baseline or Main Profile, which doesn’t typically provide the storage and bandwidth efficiencies that customers expect. JVC’s cameras all support H.264 High Profile, a format that uses significantly less bandwidth than H.264 Baseline or Main Profile-based cameras.
Due for launch in Autumn/Winter 2011 the intermediate and advanced model range comprises of three SLL HD box cameras all with 1/3 type CMOS with 2,120,000 effective pixels. The VN-H37U with Dual Stream, 3D Noise reduction and IR on/off, the VN-H137U (with lens) which also has Easy Day/Night function, and the VN-H57U which has IR on/off and Bi-directional audio.
There are two new Super LoLux HD dome cameras joining them: the vandal resistant VN-H237U mini dome network camera with 3D Noise reduction plus bi-directional audio and the vandal proof VN-H257VPU which also features Bi-directional audio, IR on/off and a built-in 3.0 times zoom variable focus auto iris lens.
The VN-H157WPU is our outdoor Super LoLux HD model, which can be fixed to a wall mount or a ceiling mount for greater mobility. In an outdoor-ready water and dust proof casing, fully compliant with IP66, its features include IR on/off, 3D Noise reduction, Bi-directional audio and an Active Tampering alarm with impact and blockage detection.
Other features include auto back focus, on-board recording to SD card, motion detection, privacy mask, and a variety of built-in video analytics features, including active tampering detection and audio detect. The cameras support ONVIF and PSIA standards for network cameras, as well as a wide variety of leading video management software (VMS) platforms, including Milestone XProtect. JVC’s Fine Focus Adjustment mechanism helps to achieve optimum picture quality, and our free shape privacy masking can be applied to an unlimited number of masked areas. The Super LoLux HD range offer true day/night capabilities with several models also featuring an IR cut filter making them the ideal tool for true 24/7 surveillance operations.
As you’d expect from JVC, the camera build quality is second to none, with our published MTBF (mean time before failure) figures demonstrating their continuing resilience and reliability.
